Carroll, 32, comes to Maryville from the United States Air Force Academy, where
he was an assistant coach for the past three seasons.
Prior to his three seasons at Division I Air Force, Carroll was an assistant
coach at the University of Alabama-Huntsville for one season. UAH is a NCAA
Division II school. A native of Chattonooga, Tenn., Carroll began his coaching
career as a successful high school coach at St. Pius X High in Atlanta. Carroll
played collegiate basketball at Berry College in Rome, Ga.
Maryville University is beginning its second year of competition at the NCAA
Division II level as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
