JOHNSON WENT ON TO SCORE NINE POINTS IN WHITFIELD’S NEXT GAME AGAINST
PATTONVILLE, GIVING HIM A CURRENT TOTAL OF 1,745 POINTS.
A four-year starter for Whitfield, Johnson earned All-State honors as a junior
in 2009 after leading the Warriors to a berth in the Missouri Class 3 state
championship game.
The 6’3” Johnson is currently averaging a team-high 17.5 points and 5.4
rebounds while shooting 61 percent from the field. He has just returned to the
Whitfield lineup after missing nearly a month of play with an injured ankle.
The Warriors will begin Class 3 district play next week as the top seed in the
District 5 tournament at Whitfield.
Johnson shared the special moment at a pre-game ceremony with Whitfield head
coach Mike Potsou, his mother Constance Johnson, brother Jordan Johnson, his
father Lawrence Johnson and assistant coach Jason Fry.
