Gateway Boys 16U advance to Final Four of Eddie Ford Hoop Fest in Louisville
Congratulations to the Gateway Basketball Club 16U boys team on getting to the Final Four in the Gold Division of the Eddie Ford Kentucky Hoop Fest in Louisville over the weekend.
Gateway finished the tournament with a 5-1 record. They won their pool with a 3-0 record, then advanced to the semifinals with a big victory over the highly-regarded Atlanta Celtics. Gateway's only loss was to the eventual champion Indiana Elite team.
Coach Kevin McArthy's team overcame some key injuries to enjoy their stellar weekend. Gateway got excellent play from 6'8" Ryan Rosburg (Rockwood Marquette), 6'6" forward Zach Biggs (Parkway Central) and 5'11" guard Zach Ellis (Whitfield) throughout the weekend.
