STL Eagles 17U advance to championship game of EYBL: Game televised on ESPN-U

The St. Louis Eagles 17U team defeated Team Final 73-70 to advance to the championship game of the Elite Youth Basketball League at the Nike Peach Jam in Augusta, Georgia.

 The Eagles will face Team Takeover (Washington D.C.) in the championship game at 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN-U at 6 p.m. The Eagles are now 18-3 in EYBL games.

 All-American guard Bradley Beal of Chaminade led the Eagles with a game-high 28 points. O'Fallon's Roosevelt Jones added 17 points, nine rebounds and three steals. Forward Aaron Adeoye of Marion, Ill. added nine rebounds. Team Final, from Pennsylvania, was led by Michael Gilchrist, who had 26 points and 12 rebounds. The 6'7" Gilchrist is rated the No. 1 player in the United States. He is headed to the University of Kentucky.

 Congrats to the St. Louis Eagles 17U and head coach Dale Turner on their remarkable success at the Peach Jam.

 One of the broadcasters on today's championship game will be former Saint Louis University assistant coach Paul Biancardi.
