SLU recruits McCall and Evans headline local All-Star Game on Saturday
Future Saint Louis University Billikens Mike McCall and Dwayne Evans will be in St. Louis on Saturday evening to participate in the Dr. Pepper Midwest All-Star Classic at Harris-Stowe State University. McCall and Evans are just two of the many top players in the Midwest region that will play in this three-game event, which will take place at the Emerson Performance Arena. SLU fans will get an early opportunity to see their future Billikens in action.
The Chicagoland duo will be playing in the featured game of the evening, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. The first game will be a girls game featuring some of the top players in the region, which begins at 4 p.m. The second game will showcase many of the top unsigned players in the state of Missouri at 5:30 p.m.
In the finale, the “East vs. West” game will showcase players such as McCall, Evans along with national players such as Tarik Black (signed with Memphis), Rayvonte Rice (signed with Kansas State), Karl Madison (signed with Drake), Mike Bradley (signed with Connecticut) and many more.
Both McCall and Evans were just named to the Chicago Sun-Times First-Team All-State squad in the state of Illinois after tremendous senior seasons.
Admission for the three games is $10. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Missouri Special Olympics.
