One day after its season ended in the championship series of the College Basketball Invitational, Saint Louis University received a verbal commitment from international prospect Rob Loe.

The 6'11" center from New Zealand chose the Billikens after considering
schools such as Arizona, Colorado, Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh.
Loe made his visit to St. Louis on Dec. 5 and was present at the
Billikens victory over Southern Illinois at the Chaifetz Arena.
The 240-pound Loe is a versatile big man with excellent shooting skills.
He was a standout player on New Zealand's 19-and-under team that hosted
the FIBA 19-and-under World Championships in July.
Loe averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game to lead New
Zealand during last summer World Championships. Current Billikens Cody
Ellis and Christian Salecich competed in the same tournament for
Australia. During the season, Lowe is a star player for Westlake Boys
High in North Shore, New Zealand.
Loe will be participating in the Nike Hoop Summit on Saturday, April 10
in Portland. He will play on the World Select team which will take on a
team of United States All-Stars.
The addition of Loe will give the Billikens even more size and
flexibility on the front line as they will return starters 6'9" Willie
Reed, 6'8" Cody Ellis, plus reserves 6'6" Brian Conklin, 6'7" Cory
Remekun and 6'5" John Smith.
