SLU recruits star in Chicago High School Classic
Saint Louis University recruits Dwayne Evans and Mike McCall enjoyed standout performances at last night's Chicago High School Classic at Loyola University. The two future SLU teammates were on opposite teams at the All-Star game featuring the top seniors in the Chicago area.
Evans enjoyed bragging rights for the night as his South team defeated McCall's North team 117-111. The 6'5" Evans had 12 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and three assists. He was selected Player of the Game for the South team. The 6'1" McCall also had an excellent all-around game with 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Billiken fans will get the opportunity to see 7-foot recruit Rob Loe in action on television tonight as he competes in the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland. Loe is playing for the World Select team in a game against a team of top USA players. The game will be joined in progress tonight on Fox Sports Midwest at the conclusion of the St. Louis Blues hockey game at around 9 p.m. The game will be shown in its entirety on Fox Midwest on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
