SLU to visit Duke on Dec. 11
The Billikens will pay a visit to NCAA national champion Duke on Dec. 11 in a nationally-televised game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The game will be televised on CBS, right before the annual Army-Navy football game. it will mark the highlight of the Billikens 2010-11 nonconference schedule.
The Blue Devils return several players from their NCAA title team, including All-American forward Kyle Singler and standout guard Nolan Smith. One of Duke's top newcomers will be guard Seth Curry, a transfer from Liberty and the brother of former Davidson star Stephen Curry. Bills fans will remember Seth Curry from the 2009 season when Liberty visited the Chaifetz Arena for a game with the Bills.
This is a huge game for the Billikens in terms of building up its strength of schedule and improving its RPI, which is vital for securing one of those precious NCAA bids at the end of the season.
I am looking forward to visiting Cameron Indoor for the first time and seeing the Cameron Crazies up close and personal. The Billikens did play Duke in Cameron in the late 1980's. I'm also looking forward to seeing my man Chris Carrawell, the former Cardinal Ritter and Duke All-American who is on Coach K's staff.
Great news in Billiken land.
