Several Billikens' players have been competing in the River City Pro-Am Summer League at Harris-Stowe State University. The regular season will end on Saturday with the league playoffs scheduled to begin on Sunday.
*Juniors Kwamain Mitchell and Willie Reed are playing for Team Holla, which advanced to the championship game of the league tournament last year.
*Sophomores Christian Salecich and Jake Barnett are playing for The Firm.
*Freshman Dwayne Evans is playing for Team Vokal.
*Sophomore Corey Remekun is playing for the St. Louis Stars.
*Former Billikens Tommie Liddell III and Barry Eberhardt are playing for Team Takeover, the defending league champions while Dwayne Polk is playing for the St. Louis Stars.
The league playoffs begin on Sunday with a play-in game at 11 a.m. and the quarterfinals at 12:15, 1:45, 3 and 4:30 p.m. The semifinals will be held on Monday at 6:45 and 8 p.m. The championship game will be played on Tuesday night at 7:15 p.m.
I will post the playoff matchups on Saturday night on this site for you Bills fans who are interesting in coming out and watching the guys play.
Last year's championship game was great for Billiken fans as Take Over (with Tommie and Barry) defeated Team Holla (with Kwamain and Willie) by one point in a classic game in front of a packed house at Cardinal Ritter.
