Bills host Temple tonight
The Billikens will host one of the Atlantic 10's perennial powerhouse programs tonight when the Temple Owls come to town for a key early league game. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight at the Chaifetz Arena. SLU is 1-1 in A-10 play and 13-3 overall while the Owls are 0-1 and 10-4.
Temple is coming off an 87-77 home loss to Dayton in its A-10 opener last Saturday. However, the Owls pulled off the biggest non-conference victory in the A-10 this season when they knocked off Duke 78-73 on Jan. 4 in Philadelphia.
The Owls are led by their stellar trio of big guards in 6'4" senior Ramone Moore (16.9 points per game), 6'4" junior Khalif Wyatt (15.8) and 6'4" senior point guard Juan Fernandez (12.8). Junior forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson is the Owls top frontcourt player at 9.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
You can catch the action on 101-ESPN with SLU Hall of Famer Bob Ramsey and yours truly on the call at 7:45 with the pre-game show. After the game, join us at The Fieldhouse Pub & Grill (501 N. Theresa) for the post-post game show with Rammer, myself and Marty Jenkins as we discuss the SLU-Temple game and other college basketball happenings around the country.
