SLU host Duquesne tonight in A-10 action
The Billikens return tonight after a one-week layoff when they host Duquesne in an Atlantic 10 Conference game at the Chaifetz Arena. Tip off is at 7:05 p.m. SLU is 2-2 in A-10 play and 14-4 overall while the Dukes are 3-3 in A-10 games and 12-7 overall.
Duquesne is a guard-oriented team led by 6'2" junior Sean Johnson, who is averaging 16.2 points a game. Senior B.J. Monteiro, 6'5", is averaging 15.5 points while 6'1" sophomore T.J. McConnell averages 11.9 points a game. Senior guard Eric Evans also averages nearly 10 points a game.
Both teams are coming off victories. The Billikens defeated Charlotte 68-67 last Saturday while Duquesne defeated vising UMass 80-69 on Wednesday night.
If you cannot make it down to the Chaifetz (and I hope you will), you can catch the action on KPLR-11 or on 101-ESPN with SLU Hall of Famer Bob Ramsey and yours truly on the call.
