David Lee is headed to Golden State Warriors
Former Chaminade College Prep star David Lee is headed to the Golden State Warriors as part of a sign-and-trade agreement with the New York Knicks. It is reported that Lee will receive a six-year contract worth $80 million.
In exchange for Lee, the Knicks received forwards Anthony Randolph,
Ronny Turiaf and guard Kelenna Azubuike.
The 6'9" Lee was a member of the historic NBA free agent class of 2010.
As soon as LeBron James announced that he was going to join the Miami
Heat and not New York, the Knicks moved quickly in sending Lee to Golden
State.
Lee is coming off his best season as a pro, averaging 20 points and 11
rebounds while playing in his first NBA All-Star Game.
Congrats to D-Lee on the well-deserved new contract.
